After flying to Green Island after installing this, I do not have any trees on the Island, and the helipad is not Red as in your picture, and there is no dock. I am not sure why these issues are happening. Any ideas?

Update: nevemind, turns out I did not have WU7 installed yet. Works brilliantly now. I don't know if I would say it "works" without WU7 because many assets are missing.

So do you get all described above except the 3d people in the payware? Because your product images dont show any of it...
That's correct, Daves 3D people is not my assets.
You do however get hundreds of custom models of which this does not contain. Boats, buildings, marinas etc..
Just remember that ORBX did the Green Island Jetty as a POI in World Update 7 so make sure to have that installed to see a jetty. (I obviously had to remove mine).
Update coming for the payware with Animations soon including the Reef Eye Ferris wheel which is back for 4 years!

Does the payware version include Green Island?
It includes Green Island helipad, the break wall, yachts/boats etc. Also includes reef pad.
No 3D people because that's someone else's assets.

Been flying around your rendition of Cairns for a while now, looked amazing after the aussie update. Had a feeling you were local. Just purchased the payware version through Orbx. Now all we need looked at is the airport mate, complete with it's shoddy clad international terminal. Cheers from Clifton beach bud.

Hello and thanks for the kind words, yeah i live in the City.
Between this scenery and my airport control tower so many people ask about the airport.
I can't say anything except that there's no point doubling up or stepping on toes, i am sure they will nicely compliment each other when it happens.

I just purchased the payware version (I did not test the freeware version before) and all I can say is WOW!! Awesome scenery! I just showed it to my wife, next holiday will be in Australia (coming from Germany), this scenery is a real holiday trip advertisment 😊

Thank you for the kind words, it has a lot more work done than this one but i like to try put something out for everybody.
Germans were a common sight here before the virus, great people. I will visit there one day as well i hope.

i don't know why but there's a house on the helipad...xD
I've downloaded all dependencies...
Any help?
Awesome scenery btw
EDIT : And when I descent part of scenery disappear lol..maybe it's some kind of conflict i dont know...

Thanks,
Green island helipad or another one? I see no house but is an easy fix.
If you're talking about the water around the island changing when you descend, blame Asobo/Microsoft, it's been like that since WU7 and i can't fix it.
My water masking in previous versions was better, but not much we can do, can't really complain because they bought back the entire Great Barrier Reef.

thank you very much for sharing this magnificent scene and the work that it represents. Is it possible to have seaplane ports on the islands? a big thank-you !
I can add seaplane ports but they don't exist IRL and a lot of people are not fans of fiction in a simulator.
There was a seaplane pontoon in the city for decades but it shut down a while ago and has been removed.
Thanks for the kind words, i have something with hundreds more hours in the works coming soon, same area. 😉

Love it, but for some reason i lack the Green Island helipad, while the Reef one is transparent while landing on it. Weird
2 years ago
That is strange, as they are all separate models.
So i just deleted the package, downloaded from here again, then deleted my content.xml and it works fine. I really have no idea what's happening to you.

Nice Enhancement package for MSFS. Since the Australian update and I have spent the past few days flying around Cairns. Default is good but this package ads a lot of missing details. I am sure in time someone will dress up the airport. Buildings are correctly placed from what I can remember but a bit generic looking otherwise.
Back in 2019 we visited the land down under for reals and spent a week in Cairns among many. Absolutely loved it and its on my bucket list to spend a lot of time there in my retirement and possibly have a vacation home there. So I love anything that is enhancing the area in the sim!
Last night took a quick stroll up to Port Douglas. It is not bad in the sim but could use some enhancements as well. Especially the marina. I am sure it will get done in time as well!

Thanks, being the 5th busiest airport in the country i can see someone doing YBCS in the near future ;)
Port Douglas does need some love for sure. Bit of a shame the photogrammetry stopped at Palm Cove and not PD.

Best tropical scenery. out there, I made a video, of "Green Island", to show your great workmanship and attention to detail. Looking forward to any scenery that you make, Thanks,,,, https://youtu.be/7gujbDImfiQ

Thank you, watched the whole video. Glad you like the helipads. It reminded me when i used to work on that exact reef pontoon (IRL it's at Agincourt Reef not Arlington but eh, ORBX put the POI there). We would do a scenic around the platform before landing on the wooden pad. :)

Fairy Nuf. One thought - there are a couple of ship-type addons available on this site, that have lots of lovely ships in them - presumably not Asobo defaults. Perhaps a kind word in the developer's ear may turn one loose as an Object? It isn't important, I thought it was your own ship and would be easy enough to mod. Thanks anyway.

VERY minor point - I think the cruise liners look a little less - shall we say - grimy around the funnel area. No biggy, but an area that modelers often forget when they are building the big ones, that working ships (and planes) tend to end up a little grubby, especially where passengers never venture.

Great stuff! Makes me want to fly up there!

Hey Nethiuz
So as per your change logs from 1.2-1.3, you changed the textures of the grass for YBCS to a much greener appearance.
If there was a way I can have the best of both worlds, ie - Have this package installed but you can include a excluded file so the grass textures both at the airport and around the airport perimeters are left as default.
I prefer the default YBCS grass texturing but would like everything else included.
Is this possible at all to receive an edited edition of your wonderful scenery???
Thanks & Kind Regards
David

Hey i just read your PM, yeah that looks terrible in the pics you sent me, they have changed something for the worse. I will fix it up and repackage with stock brown grass, at least it's realistic (in a drought lol).
I will also throw in Palm cove Jetty i think you asked for.

I love what you have done in this scenery area - thanks for providing so many interesting and/or challenging places to land a chopper! I've done plenty of livery painting but no scenery and would love to know specifically about designing and placing helipads. Can you point me in the direction of some good tutorials? I'd really like to create helipads which can be used to spawn the chopper for a flight. I haven't found any that are easy to follow yet! **BTW** I do not see the red and white helipad textures anywhere - just weathered timber boards on the islands. The round white circles on asphalt are fine at YBCS airport of course, as is the concrete pad at the waterfront. But do you have any suggestions for the missing red squares?
Hey Thanks for the comment.
If you want to use ready made helipads which is the easiest option check the credit section of the description for a link to some. You can also find ready made (boring" pads in the SDK itself which requires an airport.
If you want to place them and have them a recognised airport you can spawn at with a star on the map there's some more detail required.
If you have never used the SDK you have a lot to catch up on, if you have some idea then it's not too hard, i recommend looking up "MSFS how to create a simple airport" on YouTube and if that' still too complicated i would then start with "How to use MSFS SDK" and be prepared for a week of learning.
Best of luck.
