In this asset package you will find common objects for floatplanes in the pacific north west region, small/big pontons with tires (on one or each side) for lodges, small docks, piers, buoys - different types (can, spare, pillar - lighted/unlighted), standard small lighthouses (green, red, white with flashing lights - quick and 4 sec intervalls).I use these at many different places for my seaplane scenery, so i collect them here in this asset library. Drop the folder “jay-seaplane-asset” in your community folder. If you are a consumer and see this packages recommended by your developer, just place it in your community folder. It is just a library - there is no scenery file included!
You’ll find the objects if you search for jay.
Hope to see more Seaplane Bases in the future!

Thanks for the great assets! I'm nearly finished a massive project, and these look great in it. I noticed you've just released new version that I'll have to try out, but in my brief testing, my plane (Husky) seems to climb onto the pontons when pulling up beside them at slow speed. Do you know of a way to avoid this, any tricks in the sdk to create invisible collusion? If not perhaps may I suggest some sort of invisible object that has collision we can add to help bring planes to a stop? A wild idea that just came to me, same idea as above but the object is an animated gate that slowly opens and closes every 20 seconds or so. So, it brings your plane to a stop like a pretend docking line, but then after a small amount of time you can move forward again if you'd like. Anyway, keep up the great work 😊 Cheers

Hey, thank you!
That is excactly how i did the pontons in Blender, invisible road material box around. The new pontons have bigger sides for better stopping. Try the new ones with the Husky, and i modify the the old ones, if it is better to stop. There should be something like the docking you suggested, to tow the plane once docked. ;)

is there any possibility to turn off the flashing light for the red buoy in your seaplane asset?
I need that buoy unlighted for a project...

Hi, thank you for this asset pack. Are these collidable objects? Currently docking a seaplane is rather tricky, since the aircraft floats through the object. It would really help if the aircraft could really dock^^

Hi JoGi, yes they are collidable, you can hit them and come to a stop. But there is now way to really tie down the plane in the sim yet. Buoys and other objects are not collision materials by the way. Have fun, cheers!

Is this someplace you can visit on the map or is this just objects. I've downloaded it and don't see anyplace named jay.

No this is a library, so yes keep it in your community folder. But for those that use this to develop water strips, they use these objects to make things look so much better. Thanks to guys like this that share their handy work...
