Hi there,
I have created a rendition of PH-DAZ in it's KLM - The Flying Dutchman colours. Right, ok so yh, there a few issues with this livery but I am at a loss so I am just uploading as it is. Firstly, I dislike Blender because it always crashes and I lose my work. This livery has been entirely made in Photoshop, going back and forth coverting the original .dds to .psd and so on. Yh it took a long time. Bare in mind this is a plane that was clearly made to be painted in Blender as there are a few bits I just cannot get right in Photoshop.
Also, I have found that on this model of the DC-3, the windows do not match up correctly with the IRL DC-3, because of this issue, I could not get the "The Flying Dutchman" and "De Vliegende Hollander" to fit properly as I was trying to use the windows as a match guide and it was not working until I realised the issue with the windows, so to correct this I have just made the text the correct size to fit perfectly in the middle of the big blue stripe, yes it does not match the IRL DC-3 but that's out of my control so please do not comment with the issue below as I am unable fix it at the moment, apologies. Yes, I admit it might be a skill issue with myself as I'm using Photoshop, I'm not sure. There probably is a way to line it up to match the IRL 100% but unfortunately I don't know how.

This livery has taken me all day - 9 hours to be precise as I was using Photoshop. I have really tried my best to get this livery accurate but there are a few extras on the sim model which makes it look a bit odd - the KLM logo at the front on the left side is pretty much covered by a little window, which was not on the IRL PH-DAZ when I looked at reference images and does not show on the .dds files I was using which is not helpful.
I made this because I know how much you all want a Flying Dutchman scheme for this classic bird and it was surprising, that no Flying Dutchman or KLM liveries had been made yet.
I would say this livery is 90% accurate to the IRL counterpart from the past. If you want something 100% accurate, then please bare this in mind and refrain from negative comments below.
Constructive critism is acceptable as long as you have a solution to an error or issue with the livery that can help me.

Don't worry about the technically necesary minor 'inaccuracies'. We work with the models we're given. Excellent livery, beautifully recreated!

Excellent! here's a little video. Don't they look good 😊 Perhaps you may consider this scheme for a future project, to go with the green Air Atlantique 😊 https://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Anglia/Douglas-C-47A-Dakota-Mk3-DC-3/5131057/L

Dude! It looks incredible! Don't worry about little "inaccuracies." We work with what we've got and sometimes, what we've got to work with decides it doesn't want to work with US. As a lifelong historical aviation and flightsim buff - I've got to say that just to have a DC-3 this gorgeous in our new sim is enough to make one count their flightsimming blessings. And to have fine folks, like yourself, lending their talents to us to produce glorious repaints such as this, is deeply appreciated. I am obsessed with the golden age of aviation and when I look at this - all I see is "The Flying Dutchman." - just the way I picture it in my head and just the way I see it when I look at pictures of the real thing - and I'm so excited to fly it! You did a remarkable job! I can't imagine anyone complaining about it but, if they feel the desire to do so, I hope they see this first and realize that kindness, love, and our shared passion for aviation and flightsimming wins out over "trolls" every time. I can't wait to see what you come out with next! Cheers!
