FS-ATC_Chatter is a collaboration with LiveATC.net to bring high-quality ATC audio clips to the flight simulation community. FS-ATC-Chatter is a collection of over 45,000 audio files designed to support the controller chatter playback capability in Pilot2ATC.
The product also includes a stand-alone player for FSX, FSX Steam Edition, P3D V1 – V5, and MSFS 2020 for those people that don’t use Pilot2ATC. Here are some of the player features:
- Clip types based on the radio frequency you are tuned to
- Random time delays between clips
- Selectable Regions
- Automatic clip updates
Clip Characteristics
- Clips are broken down into separate files each of which represents a single exchange between a pilot and an ATC facility such as Clearance, Ground, Tower, Departure, Center, Approach, and for VFR CTAF.
- The separate files for each exchange allows Pilot2ATC or the stand alone player to insert pauses between playback allowing for you to interact naturally with ATC.
- The clips are categorized by world region so you can install a collection of clips for the area of the world you are flying in. Version 1.2.0 has the following file counts by region:
- United States: 14,391
- Europe: 13,458
- Canada: 6,660
- South America: 656
- Asia: 6,514
- Africa: 644
- Oceania: 3,068
- Clips are edited to remove any glaring location specific information. As an example the exchange “United 6626, Boston Tower, Line up and Wait” will have been edited to say “United 6626, Tower, Line up and Wait. References to specific SIDS, STARS, Ramps, Taxiways, Runways, and way-points are not changed.
- Clips are organized by controller so when you are tuned to a specific controller type on your radio you will hear clips associated with that controller.
- Each clip has its audio volume adjusted so that all clips have roughly the same volume level.

5 stars. I own this via their own site and love this program. That's why I can't rate it here.
The files from here work easily with my offline ATC program Pilot2ATC.
LOVE this app!

Can you add the Caribbean ATC. I fly a lot in that region, and I use the south America sound set. But it's not close. So please add the west Indian (Caribbean) region.

At the moment we don't seem to have any clips from that area. There are a few feeds on LiveATC.net from the Caribbean but I'm not sure of their quality. I'll ask the volunteers to check it out. Would you consider becoming a volunteer?

I've been using this for ages , it's a great app that takes little resources but adds a lot to help fill in the big empty of flying in MSFS, even on Vatsim there are a lot of areas where it's just dead silence and this program helps make it sound less alone.

FS-ATC-Chatter is a great and affordable companion app for MSFS. It works exactly as advertised and creates an extra layer of immersion by playing contextual chatter based on real-world ATC and your selected radio frequencies in the simulator. I never fly without it! The developer Mark is responsive and helpful and regularly adds new chatter samples to the database. I highly recommend the app and Stick and Rudder offer a fully functional demo which you can try for free before you buy. A no-brainer. I bought it from another vendor, so can’t rate it here but it would be 5 stars.

It's a nice little product at first. That is until you start hearing the same audio clips repeated. Took me about 3 days of flying to get to that. I know they updated it with more files but you're bound to get the same stuff again. The other part is that most of the time the ATC you hear is for the "phase" of your flight but totally randomized/different stations. Flying in California and hearing ATC from the East Coast. Or being in Vegas and hearing Philadelphia ground or the like. This was of course awhile back but I don't think the structure/geography of it has improved. For something payware I think they could've developed something that knows your position and grabs the appropriate feed to play or offer a list of surrounding feeds, etc. directly from LiveATC. They do show "geography" for it, but it's just for which archived audio to play and that wasn't perfect.

lol just go to live atc and listen then switch to center enroute and back to your destination arrivals ground and tower. no thanks!

Superb, so simple yet so effective at making the immersion level higher. Perfect if you are in the UK where live ATC is unavailable.
