Download and you will get a zip file
Extract it and you will see an exe file name: MSFS2020 Map Enhancement Installer 7.x.x
Double click it to trigger installation, please keep the default installation path.
You will see a "MSFS2020 Map Enhancement" icon appear on your desktop
Before starting MSFS2020, open the mod and allow it runs in administrator mode
Choose the map and click "Start"
You will see the status is "Started" show and it will refresh automatically when you are in-game
Start your MFSF2020 and enjoy.
Close MSFS2020 and close this mod (It should automatically return to bing map for the next run)
If you have a problem, please see FAQ first
If FAQ can't solve the problem, please raise an issue

About the licensing

The app is completely free and same features as before, no license is needed for previous features. All maps it currently contains are free. Free features are always kept updated.
Some advanced features (e.g. custom map provider and future features) need a pro license.

Mod is very good, but I can't make 1 flight if I want, without Google blocking me, which is very discouraging for those who purchased the pro version.

How does the cache handle different providers? Does it store both providers when using different ones in the same place, or the last provider used erases the previous one? Thanks for the mod!

Ich habe das Tool jetzt zweimal ausprobiert und kann eigentlich davor nur warnen. Beim Fliegen habe ich am Boden an vielen Stellen ein gelb-rot-blaues Karo-Muster gehabt, welches dann auch nach der Deinstallation des Tools erhalten blieb. Ich musste den Flusi neu installieren, nur den Inhalt des Official-Ordners habe ich gelassen. Meine hier heruntergeladenen Addons habe ich alle neu installiert.
Die Warnung von Microsoft vor diesem Tool scheint durchaus berechtigt zu sein.

I've tried the tool twice now and can only warn against it. When flying, I had a yellow-red-blue check pattern on the ground in many places, which remained even after uninstalling the tool. I had to reinstall the Flusi, only the contents of the official folder I left. I have reinstalled all my addons downloaded here.
Microsoft's warning about this tool seems to be quite justified.

Did purchase pro license yesterday. Works great and looks great. Last weeks MSFS had big problems with ortho tile loading (loads too late) and this addon tackles that easily.

Hey, I have a few questions about the new photogrammetry cache functionality in 7.3.1 - does this mean that the intention now is that the in-game rolling cache should *never* be used with the program? In other words, with both caches turned on, will there be redundant photogrammetry downloaded into both caches at the same time? If so, which takes priority when being read? Is there still a way to use the rolling cache for photogrammetry and cache.db for aerial imagery? Should I just shut up and use cache.db for everything now?

And then one more question - does the program cache whatever 3rd party scenery I fly around, in addition to official streamed photogrammetry, or is it smart enough to know that the 3rd party scenery is already somewhere else on my hard drive?

Regardless, great job, this is the one feature I never expected to see and yet somehow you've done it!

doesn't work at all. Just disappears into the background and the only way to close it is via the task bar. Bring back version 5!

Ich habe das Tool gerade nochmals neu heruntergeladen, da einige Updates seit meinem letzten Test erschienen sind. Der Fehler mit den farbigen Rauten auf der Oberfläche tritt nach wie vor auf. Außerdem ist es nur noch ein Stotter-Flug, was einem dann die Lust am Fliegen gänzlich raubt. Das war mein allerletzter Versuch, das Ding installiere ich nie wieder.

I just re-downloaded the tool because some updates have been released since my last test. The error with the colored diamonds on the surface still occurs. In addition, it's just a stuttering flight, which completely robs you of the desire to fly. That was my very last attempt, I'll never install the thing again.

Hi, thanks very much for this recent update. Question: the new map viewer allows to navigate over the section of the map selected on the first page, or it's a standard view with one of the map servers?. I've changed the map server and the images on the map viewer seem not to change

It just you can view the map. In future it is used for batch downloading.

I have found lately that with HAGS and Optimisations for Windows Games set to ON and also Nvidia Low Latency Mode set to Ultra in driver plus FPS limitter set to max 90 as the headset stutters are kept to minimal if any. Of course a 5090 would help a lot...

Stutters for me, whatever source I use, once every minute or so, even with bing maps.

Good morning,this update works flawlessly on my rig but i can't see the option to clear the photogrammetry data...

Inside the app, in "cache options" you can clear the cache. In MSFS cache must be off.

Je suis perdu (Win 11)... je n'ai pas d'antivirus et fait la manip autorisation dans le pare feu
j'ai donné l'autorisation du mode (lecture écriture)
j'ai également vidé le fichier host.

Hello, this mod is very attractive. Unfortunately I'm stuck at launch: the selected map is indeed "Google Maps Server"; I press Start and it bugs because:
Server image test failed
MS server override is not Working Please try:
*Disable any global proxies
*Disable any game accelerator
*Create a new hosts file
I'm lost (Win 11)... I don't have antivirus and do the authorization manipulation in the firewall
I gave permission for the mode (read write)
I also emptied the host file.
I don't know anymore...thanks for your help

Hello I have this problem:
Apply hosts change failed

Unable to patch hosts file. Please try:

Run as administrator.
Turn off your antivirus and restart your computer.
Check if any tools inside your antivirus are protecting your system.
Add this mod into white list.
Please also visit FAQ page for more information.
Error detail: Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts' is denied.

Hosts is not on read only, antivirus are disable and that still doesnt work... HELP

Update to 7.4.4 and 7.4.5 Beta not working properly.
In task manager open 4 process for MSFS2020mapenhacement.exe
And never clean host file in Win/System32/drivers/etc.
The question is, can i make a clean install, deleting all files in Program Files folder, witouth lose my licence?

Solved deleting config files on users/appdata/roaming/Map... Now runing properly on 7.4.5 Beta

Thanks again to the developer of this great app. Updating to 7.4.4 worked smoothly here. Do not forget to clean the old cache in the app settings and turn off the cache in the sim's data menu (no need to delete the cache here).
I am still surprised that many users stick to the Google imagery. Flying frequently in the Middle East and Latin America, the latest Bing maps are much better in these regions, so I highly recommend to use them instead of Google's.

I attempt to install beta update 7.4.5 by clicking "restart". This does not seem to work as the install quits and tells me that I have to 'manually close map enhancement'...what does this mean? Clicking 'X' doesn't do anything for the install to continue.
Or...do i just settle by clicking 'later' and not do the beta update?????
