Hello Folks
I am still working on my EDHK Kiel-Holtenau scenery and about this I am continuously creating new content. I want to share this content with you folks. Its my EDHK Lights & Objects Developers Pack, an usable Asset-Pack. It contains many different light objects (3D modeled & non-modeled) and many further 3D modeled objects. Everything is created by myself or by Elro/Roland. So if you are a scenery or airport creator, feel free to use the content within your freeware/uncommercial projects for MSFS 2020. About this, please take a closer look to the included "Disclaimer.txt".
This package is no usable MSFS 2020 scenery, its only a Asset-Pack for developing sceneries or airports!
The current pack includes 436 usable objects:
- Light Points with different strength and colors
- Flashing Light Points with different strength and colors
- Spot Lights (45°/110°) with different strength and colors
- Rotating Spot Lights (for lighthouses) with different strength
- Modeled Obstacle Lights with and without pillar
- Modeled blinking orange Runway Guard Light inlay (Scale down to 0.245 for stock SDK Runway Guard)
- Modleed Taxiway Lights with different strength
- A little 3D model with a welding flash effect
- Some modeled ILS localizer Antenna
- Some modeled Radio Antenna
- Modeled 4 modeled Lighthouses
- Modeled 2 Glideslope Antenna
- Modeled Helipad yellow FOTA lights
- Modeled Helipad white FOTA lights
- Modeled Helipad green TLOF lights
- Modeled Helipad white Flood light
- Some invisible meshes (in different sizes), these make it possible to land on non solid surfaces/models/objects
- Modeled Outdoor Lamps
- Modeled Airport Mast with Mobilphone Antenna
- Modeled small military Radiotower
- 4 modeled industrial Chimneys
- 25 modleed automatic & manual security barriers (3m to 6m)
- 10 modeled plastic & concrete barriers
- 1 modeled delineators white & black
- A set of performance friendly modeled Beach Chairs (thx to Elro/Roland)
- 3 different maritme Navigation Buoys with functional, blinking lights (thx to Elro/Roland)
- A larger set of performance friendly modeled Motor- and Sailboats (thx to Elro/Roland)
You find a full list with object names in the "4_Package_inventory_for_EDHK_Dev-Pack.txt", that is included in the ZiP-archive, too. You can use the list as short reference for the Object editor.
A lot of my lights dont use the Day/Nightcycle because in cloudy/foggy/rainy enviroment its realistic to have them turned on, too. Every light has an extra plane underlay for a much higher visibility at night/distance. You have to scale some of the 3D models up or down to get the right size you need for your scenery, I choose the larger scale for a better/easier placement. As example, my blinking Runway Guard 10W light inlays, scale them down to nearly 0.245 to fit in the stock SDK Runway Guard Light Object. Furthermore, sometimes its very usefull to add a red point light above a modeled obstacle light.
So, if you need a light for your lighthouse, modeled 3D objects or obstacle lights and much more, then you can find a lot of useful stuff within this package. I will continously add more stuff to the Asset-Pack. You find a "Changelog & Install" text file inside the Zip file.
If you want to find the Pack content in the objects-list of the SDK scenery editor, simply type "EDHK" into the objects-console. All my objects using "EDHK" as prefix. Furthermore you can simply type things like "FOTA", "Heli", "Lighthouse","50w", "150W", "red", "green", "pink", "spot", "flood", "cold_white", "warm_white", "flash", "obstacle", "rotation", "ILS, "Antenne", "taxi", "guard" and many more in the text field to find what you need.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
PLEASE, BE SURE THAT YOU DELETE ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF THE EDHK LIGHTS & OBJECTS DEVELOPMENT PACK BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE NEWER VERSION. SINCE VERSION 1.0.7 THE FOLDER GOT A NEW NAME WITH AN ACTUAL NUMBER OF VERSION!
"mrmo-modellib-edhk-devpack" = old / alt
"EDHK_Lights_and_Objects_Dev-Pack_1.X.X_by_MrMo" = new / neu
ATTENTION!
You don´t need my EDHK Kiel-Holtenau freeware scenery to use the stuff inside this developers Asset-Package!

One more question, is the yellow box which is on photo 4/25 in the package, if so, what is its reference?
MrMo 25 day(s) ago
Hello Faize
If you mean the yellow covered heli pad flood light, then yes! 😊
You find it when searching for these objects inside the editor:
EDHK_White_Helipad_Flood_Light_10W
EDHK_White_Helipad_Flood_Light_20W
EDHK_White_Helipad_Flood_Light_30W
EDHK_White_Helipad_Flood_Light_40W
EDHK_White_Helipad_Flood_Light_50W
There is a file called "4_Package_inventory_for_EDHK_Dev-Pack_v1.0.8.txt", there is the whole content listed thats inside the EDHK Dev-Pack.
Best wishes, MO

Hello and thank you, really a very useful complement for the realism of an airport. I used among other things "10W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK" is it possible to have the same but in red for the "NO ENTRY"
MrMo 25 day(s) ago
I will put this wish on my Dev-Pack TODO list!
Faize34 25 day(s) ago
Thanks , i wait it

Brilliant! We're able to add so much more depth to the sim.
Would you be able to add some orange point flashers? hold short lines in US sometimes have ground flashing orange lights. Thanks!
MrMo 25 day(s) ago
Do you mean the larger, blinking Guard lights beside the taxiways?
If yes I created some already. You only have to place the empty/non functional runway "Guard" light from the SDK Objects and place the inlay inside the device via scaling/GIZMO.
Objectname:
5W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK
10W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK
15W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK
20W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK
25W_orange_runway_guard_light_Inlay_EDHK

I mean the flashers flush mounted to the ground.
I tried tilting the flashers, and that works as an omni-directional light. I really the directional lights though.
Quassel89
Works perfectly, looks great
and is a great upgrade for the MSFS.
It is compatible with SU11,
thanks for that

This is what I was looking for, and it looks good! The only issue that I'm running into is that the obstacle lights with support are appearing extremely large. When I change their scales, the light becomes fairly dim and I'm unable to see it from a distance. Any advice or help?
AirborneThrust 2 month(s) ago
I'm still having trouble with the obstacle/runway lights. They become too dim from a distance, and I think it's due to the fact that I have to decrease their size by a considerable amount (from 1.0 to ~0.15). Does anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
gryper
The sim needs more random flashing lights on the ground so I hope people use this for that reason.

Getting it just for this!

Hi mrMO! nice asset pack, i'm using it for my sceneries enhanced mods, just one thing i want to know: is there a workaround for Late spawining lights? cause it might annoy people to overfly always with drone camera the airport in order to spawn all lights.
MrMo 9 month(s) ago
Hello Valexyo
Thanks for the question!
The topic "light & lightning" is still a difficult point for MSFS content developers because the current SDK restrictions. If Asobo/MS will change that or give any hint about to find a solution for this, I will change this within the Dev-Pack content, too.
Currently, the user have to load in all the lights within their first flight/range.
Best wishes from EDHK,
Mo

thank you for your answer! anyway if i could suggest a little addon it would be nice to have a lights that's in between cool and warm like 3000-3500k
Segelflieger98 4 month(s) ago
Hey, try to scale up the light with gizmo so the box is bigger. It should work.
SinusJayCee
Is this compatible with the latest version of your EDHK scenery?
MrMo 10 month(s) ago
Hello SJC
You dont need the Dev-Pack when using my EDHK Kiel-Holtenau scenery because everything is already included in the EDHK Airport scenery. You dont need the Dev-Pack for my/our sceneries, everything is already included, also.
The Dev-Pack is only for MSFS freeware scenery/content developer.

Merci beaucoup pour le travail! 😊

Does anyone has solution for "late spawnin" lights? I have done 8000 light objects to light up motorways around the Helsinki Metropolitan area. But orange lights are spawning only near. Doesent just work that way. Solution?
Mriya 12 month(s) ago
I suggest you to use a different light asset from other developers like i did, because the author is not even answering anymore. Too much busy, i guess..
MrMo 11 month(s) ago
I am still here but working on other MSFS projects, too.
THEOLI4D
Hi! Great asset pack!
Is there a strong, red blinking beacon in there?
I would need a strong red light that blinks like 1 sec, then 1 sec off, 1 sec blink, one sec off... etc 😉
Basically just blinking red and visible from far away in a 1 sec rhythm.
Is that in there?
I saw the red obstacle lights... but they are constant, not blinking.
Thanks a lot

Search into the scenery objects for the "EDHK flash light points"
THEOLI4D 1 year(s) ago
Thanks for your reply. I found some "faster flash lights", but they are pretty fast... I would need something similar but flashing more like every second. One 1 second on, one second off, etc.
The red faster flash lights are too fast :/
chansen
What a great package !!!
Anyone who can tell the name of the Yellow Light pole with red light which there is a picture of ?

Hello Claus
Its the "obstacle_light" or "obstacle_light_with_support".

Asset-Pack Very easy to use. thank you.
I also create and upload a free scenery on Flight.to. (Mainly Japanese cities
I am currently creating a scenery for Osaka Bay. Can I use the lighting assets of this asset to improve the scenery?
Is it okay to add lighting etc. for this asset pack to the scenery created in the past?
My scenery

(Of course, I will write a note in the explanation column that "EDHK Lights & Objects Developers Pack (Asset-Pack)" is recommended to be installed at the same time.
Dusty744
Hi! Love your work, clearly this is an essential library as so many high quality freeware sceneries use a lot of your objects.
The only problem is that this modpack affects other sceneries. For example when installed, all my jetways at Flytampa YSSY disappear but if I remove the library from the community folder, they are restored.
Do you know of a way to fix it so that I can simultaneously have your library and other sceneries installed?
Thanks.
MrMo 2 year(s) ago
Hello.
You are the first person who telling me this type of issue. My Asset-Pack has normally no content that create such problems. The only thing that creates something like this, is that my Dev-Pack and the Tampa-Pack using the same randomly generated GUID information/number. But to many people using my Asset-Pack already I can not change the GUID numbers. As I said, the GUID number is randomly generated. I dont know if this the real problem you have, never had issues with double GUIDs.
A GUID number looks like this:
<ModelInfo guid="{f4c619cf-dcd0-4fa4-5ae7-8cd5465bad98}" version="1.1"/>
The chance that two different developers using the same randomly generated GUID is extremly low.
All you can do is to activate the developers mode, start your MSFS with content and read out the log-data (console!) within the developers mode. Search for issues with "EDHK" and if you find them, let me know what error message you get.
By the way, you can meet me at my Discord-Server for faster support its not only german, you can also write in english. 😊

Just checked FlyTampa YSSY, here is the Changelog about your problem
v1.3.0: Fixed missing jetways at gate 55 and 57
The problem is/was FlyTampa YSSY related. But with v1.3 its fixed!

Hey, just to make sure I understand correctly: for the helipads, you include lights to create your own, but no full helipad objects/meshes? Either way, thanks for sharing your assets with other developers!
MrMo 2 year(s) ago
Yes, I created only the lights, no helipad. All I created for Helicopters are invisible Helipad Planes/Meshes. With these it is possible to land on objects/models that dont use the "MSFS Road-Parameter" setting. As example for imported models or Google-Content. These make it possible to land on these models.

I have added some of the blue light points to my scenery, but they do not show up until i fly very close. Is there an object property I can modify or is this a problem with MSFS?
MrMo 2 year(s) ago
You can try to add blue light points above it. I will see if I can create some other red and blue lamps with the next update. The MSFS/SDK is very limited currently, especially with emited light like the blue one you currently use.

Thanks for the great work! I have used your light pack in some freeware scenery I uploaded here to support the vHEMS project. I also use these in all scenery I create for personal use.
MrMo 2 year(s) ago
Thank you for using this asset-pack and for your rating about it! 😉
