Note: This scenery now uses flag and windsock scenery objects from trfsto's "Windy Things" scenery library available for download at flightsim.to at the following URL:

Located in Mendocino County just northwest of Willits CA on a small mountain with an elevation of 2,063 feet, this is where a young 14-year-old Stoopy received his first few crucial hours of instruction in a Cessna 152, N6266T. The single 2,995-foot asphalt runway overlooks the valley, thus providing visually enticing arrivals and departures. Currently, this airport is also home to one of the many CalFire Helitack bases in the area, which this scenery aims to duplicate with a functional helipad, available as "Helipad 01" in the MSFS start menu (Scroll to the bottom of the list of parking areas when starting a flight).
There are basic amenities including AvGas, a pilot lounge and Cessna-sponsored flight training. This airport enhancement includes custom 3D objects created in Blender to help re-create the unique atmosphere of this airfield.
Enjoy!

Good Morning! Thank you for your hard work! A little problem in this update, it needs admin rights to place in community folder...I look forward to your update to this update,
Thank you!

Hmmmm that is indeed very odd. I didn't do anything different with this update, and those permissions are typically determined by your own system Were you able to install the previous version(s) without this issue?

This is really nice upgrade. You've given this small airport a nice "feel".
Keep it up guy!

Yes, as with all other sceneries… I know this does seem odd…

Beautiful place and creation, thanks 😊
Good idea to simply use default models Asobo.

Just installed O28 and took a walk around. Wow, what can I say but… awesome! The new 3D custom-built pilots lounge, entrance sign, and other misc. buildings and signage finally makes Ells Field come alive as the real place that it is. The night lighting is beautifully atmospheric as well. And nice work in Blender, so congrats on that. Nice touch adding the shot of N6266T and yourself too. Popping into and out of Willits will now be so much more immersive. Once again, many thanks!
The only (very minor) thing I noticed was I don’t see the entrance area flagpole or flag (but they are pictured in your screenshots). They’re just missing altogether. The big black rock is there, but no flag or flagpole. Could it be from a 3rd party library I don’t have installed? You didn’t mention any library dependencies for the scenery so I thought I’d ask.
P.S. If you do ever decide to add 3rd party dependencies for scenery objects, when it comes to flags, IMHO the “Windy Things” library can’t be beat. Their animated flags respond correctly to the wind direction and velocity quite well and wave pretty realistically (to my eye at least). I’ve been replacing various static flags in a variety of my favorite airports with them.

Thanks Ed! I'll look into the flagpole issue, I was pretty sure it came form a default library but could have been wrong. I also used this flagpole at Kneeland (on the other side of the HeliTack building) and at KFOT, next to the tower of the HeliTack base. If it's from a third party, I'll swap it out for a suitable flag from Windythings.

Fine! Thanks a lot. The windsocks point the opposite direction, can you check here to solve the windsock issue:

Thanks.

Arrgh! I usually check that before uploading, too. Thanks for pointing it out and sorry for the inconvenience. It's fixed now in the version 1.0.1 which I just uploaded.
