This folder contains a repaint for the Noorduyn Norseman by BigRadials, in the colors of RAAF Norseman A71-10. Delivered to the USAAF as aircraft No. 43-5279 on December 2, 2021 but transferred via Lend-Lease to the Royal Australian Air Force.  Flown to Newark, New Jersey on December 5 for shipment to Australia.  Assigned to No. 5 Communications Unit, Garbutt, North Queensland on August 31, 2021 and coded as A71-10 KF-H (this paint).  Later, it was transferred to the Care and Maintenance Unit, Tocumwal in February 1946 and put in storage.  It was sold as war surplus to Kingsford Smith Airways Ltd., Mascot, NSW. and registered as VH-BNL on November 28, 1947.  Registered to Gibbes-Sepik Airways, Port Moresby, Papua in June 1950.  Crashed 5 miles SSE of Goroka, New Guinea on July 11, 1950.  It was salvaged, rebuilt and then registered as VH-GSF to Ansett-Mandated Airlines (Formerly Gibbes-Sepik) in 1961.  Bought by Pay & Williamson of Scone, NSW, registered as VH-GSF and modified for superspreading in Bankstown.  In 1969 it was sold to a Camden-based operator, Skyservice Aviation Pty. On 18 Jan 1070, its engine failed and burst into flames during a skydiving display off Manly Beach. Eight parachutists bailed out, followed by pilot Ken Andrews (co-owner of Skyservice Aviation) at 5,000 feet. As he floated down under his parachute the circling Norseman came very close to hitting him. All nine parachutists were rescued by local boats. The Norseman struck the sea six miles off the beach, five miles NE Sydney Heads. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.
