The Sycamore Gap Tree (also known as the Robin Hood tree) was an iconic tree standing next to Hadrian's Wall near Crag Lough in Northumberland, England. Planted in the late XIX century, it was felled in the early morning of 28 September 2023 by a suspected vandal. The loss of the iconic tree led to an outpouring of anger and sadness.
In this simple scenery I tried to recreate the iconic landmark (togetther with the POI marker added) following the community request and my personal wish. Please note, that to have the tree appear you must have a separate library installed. Additionally there is an option to have people under the tree - if you want to bring a bit more of immersion.
P.S. Please note that the leafs on the tree will stay green all year round - this the limitation of the model I used.
btw rip the Sycamore gap tree (the only tree in the area for miles)
