Transall C-160NG
In 1982, the Indonesian government purchased six Transall C-160NG (Nouvelle Generation/New Generation) second-generation production Transall C-160 aircraft for use in the transmigration programme by the Indonesian government to move landless people from densely populated areas of Indonesia to less populous areas of the country with Pelita Air Service as the operator.
Apart from the transmigration programme, it is also used by the UN for humanitarian programmes.
