This was my first attempt at making a livery for the Asobo ATR, and without a paintkit, I did find it quite difficult. I've managed to get this 2k texture on the aircraft, which is more than good enough for a temporary livery, but I will be working on an 8K re-do of this in the near future.
Previously, Stockwood Air operated all of its domestic services with Airbus A320-200 aircraft. Such airliners are not designed for short domestic flights, and the decision to operate them on such services can incur much higher operatings costs due to less fuel efficiency and larger parking stands required.
Because of this, Stockwood Air's management ordered four ATR 72-600 regional twin-turboprop airliners, which were delivered on the 10th of June 2024. Basing these aircraft at London Luton Airport (Stockwood's home airport), the airline was able to introduce many new domestic services which would be innefficient and unreliable to operate with larger twin-jets. These ATRs, using the registrations G-TSWA, G-TSWW, G-TSWT & G-TSWS, operate regular flights from Luton to Liverpool, Humberside, Newquay, Ronaldsway and Belfast.
Stockwood Air plans to acquire ATR 42-600 in the near future, to be based at Norwich International Airport in Norfolk, England, and Humberside Airport, in the Lincolnshire, England. There are also plans to open focus cities at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Cornwall Airport Newquay, and Teeside International Airport, to allow for maximum network efficiency.
